Mariah Carey made a triumphant return Wednesday to real-time television with a passionate performance of her new breakup song on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
It was the first live public performance for the 46-year-old pop star since her disastrous NYE appearance in Times Square that was cut short due to audio issues.
Mariah performed her breakup song 'I Don't' in a red gown with plunging neckline before a studio audience in Hollywood.
She belted out the song featuring rapper YG that first premiered last month on her E! docuseries Mariah's World amid her breakup from her former fiance, Australian billionaire James Packer.
YG hit the stage first looking sharp in a white jacket and matching trousers and was soon joined by Mariah who sparkled with her dangling hoop earrings, bracelets and necklace.
Mariah reached her signature high notes during her spirited performance and afterward gave a shout out to YG as she clapped and smiled.
The singer ended her NYE performance early after technical issues and then blamed Dick Clark Productions saying on social media, 'They foiled me'.
The production company quickly called such claims 'absurd'.
'As the premier producer of live television events for nearly 50 years, we pride ourselves on our reputation and long-standing relationships with artists,' it said.
'To suggest that dcp (Dick Clark Productions), as producer of music shows including the American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, New Year's Rockin' Eve and Academy of Country Music Awards, would ever intentionally compromise the success of any artist is defamatory, outrageous and frankly absurd.'
Mariah and James in January 2016 announced their engagement, but called it off in October 2016.
Mariah's World documented the singer's 2016 European tour as well as the collapse of her relationship with James and beginning of her new love affair with backing dancer Bryan Tanaka.
The singer shared a Valentine's Day snap Tuesday of herself and Bryan, 33, holding champagne glasses while lounging in a hot tub.
She captioned the snap for her 5.3 million followers: 'Happy Valentine's Day!! #happy #moments #bubbles.'
Kimmel, 49, welcomed former Games Of Thrones star Pedro Pascal and ABC news anchor David Muir as guests on the show.
Mariah arrived at the chat show studio in a skintight blue mini-dress and left in an all-black ensemble of leggings, jacket and black heeled boots.
Kimmel announced that Mariah will be performing with Lionel Richie on March 15 in Baltimore, Maryland.
