Veteran calypsonian Observer passes

Veteran calypsonian Colin “Observer” Reid is dead.

This was confirmed by acting Police Public Relations Officer, Acting Station Sargeant Michael Blackman, who stated that Reid was found dead in his home around five minutes to four Thursday afternoon.

Reports are that his neighbours at Grazettes, St Michael found him in his home after not seeing him for several days.

The Calypsonian is best known for Cat Attack, Keep on Pushing Suki and Ah Doan Want Dey Crown.

Observer made a comeback to competitive calypso in 2017 and made the Pic-O-De-Crop final of that year.

He sang with the House of Soca tent and a saddened Manager Sharon Carew-White says he was the heart of the tent.
