The COVID-19 vaccines received through the COVAX facility will not be enough to immunize all the citizens in the Caribbean.
That’s according to Executive Director of the Caribbean Public Health Agency CARPHA, Dr. Joy St. John.
Most CARICOM countries, including Barbados, have made a down payment to COVAX to secure access to coronavirus vaccines.
Dr. St. John says that’s why it will be important to continue to observe COVID-19 protocols even after the vaccine arrives.
