The Crane Resort is the first hotel in Barbados to be granted permission by the ministry of health to house Covid-19 positive visitors, thereby operating as an isolation facility.
Confirmation of this from owner of the resort, Paul Doyle who spoke to the CBC News about this development at the world famous resort.
According to him, this was only implemented within the last few days.
Mr Doyle says he believes there are currently two Covid-19 positive cases at the resort.
He adds that specific areas have been designated for them and special arrangements put in place.
Acting chief medical officer Dr. kenneth George also confirmed the Crane is now allowed to host a few Covid-19 positive guests
He notes that there are already about three villas also being used as isolation facilities, catering to high end guests.
